Meet the Team

Helen Newman - Equity Partner

Helen has over 30 years experience, she qualified as a solicitor in 1984 and joined the practice at the same time. Helen is the partner who heads up our Debt Recovery department but her speciality is in dealing with child abduction cases especially those where the child has been taken overseas. She is one of our French speaking solicitors and has many French clients. She also deals with personal injury cases and is a member of the Personal Injury Panel. Helen is a long serving member of the fundraising committee of the friends of Moorfields Eye Hospital and spends much of her free time fund raising for Moorfields.

Sally Hartwell - Partner

Sally graduated in 1979 with a Joint Honours Degree in English and Law from the University of Wales and qualified as a Solicitor in 1983, following which she worked in a central London Law firm joining the practice in 1994 specialising in Family Law work. Sally is an active member of the Bromley and District Law Society.

Helen Warren - Partner

Helen is an Honours Graduate in Law with German Law from King’s College, University of London. She also studied at the University of Passau, Germany. Helen qualified in 2001 and has specialised in family work since qualifying. Helen has a good knowledge of German and French and is a member of Resolution and of the Law Society’s Family Law Panel. She is also Vice President of the Bromley and District Law Society.

Kate Singleton - Solicitor

Kate graduated in 1994 with an Honours Degree in Law from the University of Exeter, qualifying as a Solicitor in 1997. Kate joined the practice in 2007 specialising in Family Law work. Kate is a member of Resolution and a trained Collaborative lawyer focusing on the benefits of a conciliatory approach to resolving family conflict. She has also extended her skills into the areas of coaching and counselling to support and guide clients through their separation process.

Sarah Johnston - Solicitor

Sarah has an LLB honours degree in Law from The University of Leicester and a Postgraduate Diploma in Legal Practice with Commendation from The College of Law, London. Sarah completed her Training Contract at another Kent based firm and joined the practice in October 2009. Sarah specialises in Family Law work and is a member of Kent Law Society

Sarah Gardner - Solicitor

Sarah graduated in 1993 with a joint honours degree in Law and Computer Science from DeMontford University and qualified as a Solicitor in 1996. Sarah has worked locally since qualifying and has recently returned to practice having taken a career break to have a family. Sarah specialises in Family Law Work. She is also a Magistrate and School Governor.

Vicky Pearson - Paralegal

Vicky joined the practice following the successful completion of her Legal Secretarial course in 2001 in the Matrimonial Department. Vicky is currently a Paralegal within the Matrimonial Department and studying for her Institute of Legal Executives exams.
