Stewart Hinds - Equity Partner

Stewart started in the law 40 years ago and, as one of the founding partners has, for the last 26 years been at PJH. He has a broad experience of most areas of contentious law but his own speciality is in company and commercial work. As PJH has grown so it has been possible for each Solicitor to develop their own speciality within the team and to provide this enhanced service with the support of the Department which is structured to achieve the highest possible levels of client service. Stewart is a Past Chairman of Bromley Round Table, Bromley 41 Club and a Past President of Bromley Rotary Club and he continues to be an active member of the Beckenham Cricket Club. He played rugby for Shirley Wanderers, cricket for Bexley Park Wood and squash at Beckenham Cricket Club. As and when the demands of the practice allow him, hill walking, gardening, reading and listening to music are continuing interests.

Helen Newman - Equity Partner

Helen has over 30 years experience, she qualified as a solicitor in 1984 and joined the practice at the same time. Helen is the partner who heads up our Debt Recovery department but her speciality is in dealing with child abduction cases especially those where the child has been taken overseas. She is one of our French speaking solicitors and has many French clients. She also deals with personal injury cases and is a member of the Personal Injury Panel. Helen is a long serving member of the fundraising committee of the friends of Moorfields Eye Hospital and spends much of her free time fund raising for Moorfields.

Andrew Ransley - Equity Partner

Andrew graduated in 1988 with an Honours Degree in Law and qualified as a Solicitor in 1991. Andrew joined the practice in 1994 and leads the Commercial Conveyancing and Residential Department and deals principally with the purchase and sale of land for residential and commercial redevelopment. He also deals with the sale and purchase of all types of commercial property, including shops, offices, industrial and other commercial premises. Andrew has been an active member of the Bromley and District Law Society acting as Honorary Treasurer for many years.

Sally Hartwell - Partner

Sally graduated in 1979 with a Joint Honours Degree in English and Law from the University of Wales and qualified as a Solicitor in 1983, following which she worked in a central London Law firm joining the practice in 1994 specialising in Family Law work. Sally is an active member of the Bromley and District Law Society.

Kim Davey - Partner

Kim has a Law Degree with Honours from the South Bank University. She trained and qualified with Pritchard Joyce and Hinds in 2003. Kim is an experienced solicitor within the residential conveyancing team..

Karen Blakesley - Partner

Karen is an Honours Graduate in Law with French from the University of Sussex and also studied at the Universite of Robert Schuman in Strasbourg. Karen trained with Pritchard Joyce and Hinds and qualified in 1998. She rejoined the practice in 2004 in a senior position within the litigation department dealing with company and commercial law, civil and commercial disputes and employment matters. Karen is fluent in both French and Spanish and has worked as a Teacher of English as a Foreign Language in Spain.

Helen Warren - Partner

Helen is an Honours Graduate in Law with German Law from King’s College, University of London. She also studied at the University of Passau, Germany. Helen qualified in 2001 and has specialised in family work since qualifying. Helen has a good knowledge of German and French and is a member of Resolution and of the Law Society’s Family Law Panel. She is also Vice President of the Bromley and District Law Society.

John Joyce - Consultant

John has now worked in the legal profession for over 45 years, originally in Bromley and since 1969 in Beckenham. In 1982 John, Stewart Hinds and Wendy Pritchard, who were all partners in a Bromley/Beckenham practice, retained the Beckenham Office and since 1982 have practiced at St Bride’s House under the name of Pritchard Joyce & Hinds, now known as PJH. John leads the Commercial Conveyancing Department and deals principally with the purchase and sale of land for residential and commercial redevelopment. He also deals with the sale and purchase of all types of commercial property including shops, offices, industrial and other commercial premises. John is a member of Beckenham Cricket Club where he has played squash for many years and of Langley Park and Littlestone Golf Clubs.
